Fahrenheit 24/7: The Further Adventures of Bush & Cheney
My Fellow Americans,
Like you, I've been extremely depressed these past few days, and yet I know this reaction is purely an emotional one. Rationally, I know that the situation in Iraq would not have been altered substantially by John Kerry's presence in the White House. I know that the Democratic and Republican agendas were so similar (on a macroscopic scale, rather than on a microscopic scale) as to be almost indistinguishable from one another.
All evidence indicates that Kerry won this election, just as Al Gore did in 2000 (read, for example, journalist Greg Palast's report "Kerry Won..." at http://tompaine.com/articles/kerry_won_.php). I've suspected since 1994 that the voting system in this country is corrupt from top to bottom; nevertheless, I've persisted in casting my votes mainly because I've been holding out a thin, ever weakening strand of hope that something like a democracy still exists in this country. I no longer believe this is the case, and strongly suspect that if every single person in this country had refused to vote last Tuesday, the percentages would have been exactly the same. "Tight race, wasn't it? Whew! My, so exciting!" A photo finish always makes for good theatre, and keeps the sheeple entertained.
However, that's beside the point now. The real point is this: Since Tuesday all my "liberal" friends have been in a funk, as have I. (Full disclosure: I voted for Nader, just as I did four years ago.) The truth of the matter is this: My friends would have had just as many reasons to be depressed if Kerry had been elected. But instead, they would have partied all night Tuesday... and on Wednesday morning, fallen right back into a complacent slumber. Content.
I understand this reaction. Like you, I do not wish to see Bush's face on my TV screen ever again. I do not wish to hear his voice or his halting pronouncements, uttered with the confident bravado of a man unhindered by either intelligence or self-reflection. I do not wish his backwards ideology to poison me or the lives of my family or my friends or their unborn children or their pets or the clouds overhead or the trees or ticks or stem-cells or the molecules of which they're composed. But this is purely an emotional reaction, not a logical one.
This morning, after teaching my classes, I hunkered down in my office and began writing (what was intended to be) a short piece entitled "A Brief History of the United States." I decided to begin writing it after I received an e-mail from a colleague that read, "As a friend recently said, 'At least Bush will be gone in four years. That doesn't always happen in Argentina.'"
Though I know my colleague means well, I think he goes astray by presupposing that Bush is going to be gone in four years. In fact, he's presupposing that Bush ever left in the first place.
The venerable political researcher Dave Emory once said that George Bush Sr. was the first President who had been in office for five terms: Two of Reagan's, one of his own, and two of Clinton's. Of course, Emory said this back in 1999. (So imagine what he would say now!)
What he meant by this statement was not that Clinton was, in actuality, Bush disguising himself inside a fat-suit, but that former members of the Bush administration were covertly influencing the Clinton administration from outside (as well as from within - do any of you remember David Gergen?).
I voted for Clinton in '92, not really thinking he would win. I was stunned not only by the pleasant notion that I would no longer have to see Bush's face on my TV screen, but also by the fact that Clinton's very first act in office was to allow gays in the military. This was clearly a bold move, and immediately pissed off every fundamentalist Christian in the nation, a worthy endeavor in and of itself. This, of course, was his first error.
From that moment on, there was talk among right-wing conspiracy circles of a "Clinton Death List," referring to the improbable amount of close friends and associates of the Clintons who were being picked off like insects. The common interpretation was that Hilary herself was wandering around the backwoods of Arkansas, and through the ornate corridors of D.C. as well, massacring political rivals with a machete like some deranged 90's version of Lady Macbeth. Sorry, fellas, I don't buy that - Pat Robertson's protestations notwithstanding.
Don't get me wrong. There really was a Clinton Death List, Vince Foster and Ron Brown being the foremost "bulletpoints" on this list. Clinton's colleagues were croaking every week, as if all of them had just stumbled out of a remake of The Mummy's Curse. It's improbable that so many people could die so mysteriously, all intimately connected to two specific people, as the result of mere "happenstance." If you ever wondered why Clinton made so many bone-headed, right-wing moves during his Presidency (like bombing Iraq to bits in his first term just because of an "alleged" Iraqi plot to assassinate President Bush), just ask yourself: What would you do if everybody you knew was getting knocked off every other week?
"Gee, I guess it might be a good idea to put my signature on this extremist right-wing bill here (oh, but let's do it at 3:00 a.m. when no one's watching)." More often than not, a gentle little suggestion is far more effective than a bullet to the head. When Hilary went on the Today Show and "raved" about a vast right-wing conspiracy, she wasn't blowing smoke up anybody's skirt.
"But, wait a minute, you write for that Paranoia rag, don't you? Aren't you one of them wingnuts who thinks 'they're all in on it' together? Aren't you contradicting yourself?" No, not really. They are all in on it together, just like the Mafia - but remember, the Mafia also kills its own. And gang warfare still runs rampant in the streets, though it may seem somewhat more subtle nowadays (moreso than Al Pacino whipping out a pistol in a late-night diner in New York to avenge the death of Marlon Brando).
Ever heard of Roberto Calvi? He was the former president of Banco Ambrosiano and one of the principle managers of the Vatican's financial affairs - that is, before he was found hanging from the Blackfriars Bridge in London in 1982. According to journalist David Yallop in his book In God's Name, Roberto Calvi once said that if you wanted to understand "how the world is really run," you need to read only one book: not the Bible, not The Art of War by Sun Tzu, not The Prince by Machiavelli, but - drum roll, please - The Godfather by Mario Puzo.
American politicians alternately snipe at one another and protect one another as well, just like the Mafia. An example: In 2003 President Bush blocked the investigation into Clinton's last-minute pardons (known to some as "pardongate"). The U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York didn't even issue a report, despite the fact that it was a legitimate criminal investigation already three years old. When a writer for WorldNetDaily asked Ari Fleischer, the presidential press secretary, if Bush was "going to just drop it," Fleischer replied, "The president is looking forwards, not backwards, and I would highly recommend that to you as well." Yes, indeed. A most interesting little game is being played here, is it not?
As a result of my colleague's e-mail, I decided to start writing "A Brief History of the United States" because I suddenly realized that a lot of well-meaning people are completely in the dark as to what's going on here, though the overall scenario seems so clear from an outsider's perspective. As you no doubt already know, if you want accurate news about America, refer to foreign sources. It's not an accident that the French were onto the 9/11 fraud before any American journalist.
Speaking of 9/11, this is an important point: On September 11, 1994, at 1:55 p.m., a "lone nut" named Frank Corden stole a single-engine Cessna from Aldino Airport in Churchville, Maryland. Eleven hours later he rammed it into the Executive Mansion of the White House where the President and the First Family would normally be sleeping; however, on that particular evening they were staying elsewhere due to the fact that the Mansion was undergoing renovations. (Those gentle little "suggestions" can get pretty serious, can't they?)
The image of that Cessna flying into the White House was the very first image that entered my mind exactly seven years later on September 11, 2001. "Why, we never dreamed that somebody would use a plane as a weapon. Not even a science fiction writer could have predicted something as improbable as that!" Huh? Some freakin' "nut" rammed a plane into the White House in 1994 and you're telling me you never "dreamed" it could happen in 2001? C'mon! How stupid do you think I am? (Wait, don't answer that.)
Those planes were allowed to fly into the World Trade Center in order to kick-start this war, a war we now know Dick Cheney already had planned months before 9/11/01. NO PLANE flew into the Pentagon. It was a missile or a predator drone. This fact can be determined through, among many other means, analyzing the color of the Pentagon explosion caught on tape (the chemical components of an explosion resulting from a crashing 757 are significantly different from what one would find in a missile explosion), footage that can be seen in the documentary Painful Deceptions by Eric Hufschmid, which is readily available for purchase for mere peanuts at www.erichufschmid.net.
The roots of the 9/11 plot can be found in the Operation Northwoods document, an actual plan prepared by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the 1960's to hijack jet airliners, blow up U.S. military bases, and use paramilitary sniper teams to shoot at American civilians in the streets of Washington, D.C. and Miami in order to precipitate a war with Cuba. Read about it more fully at: http://www.infowars.com/northwoods.htm, and view the actual documents at: http://elfis.net/parapolitics/northwoodsdoc1.pdf.
Of course, this kind of operation can be traced back much farther. FOIA documents now prove that President Roosevelt allowed the invasion of Pearl Harbor to occur in order to draw an isolationist country into a war it did not want. This incontrovertible PROOF can be found in the recent book Day of Deceit by Robert Stinnett (who, oddly enough, served in the U.S. Navy under Lt. George Bush from 1942 to 1946). The events of 9/11/01 were no different. In fact, I can't think of a major 20th century "conflict" that didn't begin in a similar manner, including the Spanish-Civil War, WWI, the Korean War, and Vietnam (My Lai Mai-Tai, anyone?).
In 1961, in his farewell speech to the nation, President Eisenhower warned of the growing influence of the "military industrial complex." He knew full well that monolithic corporations with ties to the U.S. military were using campaign contributions to exert more and more control over politicians, who in turn were enacting restrictive laws to mold the population into fearful automatons who soon came to believe they had only two choices left to them: volunteer to give up more and more of their rights, or get killed by Communists, terrorists, drug dealers, or fatal plagues. President Eisenhower was saying, in essence, "Have fun and have fun quick, kids, 'cause recess is almost over!"
Only two years after this speech, a barrage of bullets blew open the skull of President John F. Kennedy, at which point a group of schoolyard thugs took over the United States and reversed Kennedy's decision to pull the troops out of Vietnam (for proof that Kennedy did indeed plan to withdraw from Vietnam, read the books JFK and Vietnam by John Newman and JFK: The CIA, Vietnam and the Plot to Assassinate John F. Kennedy by former Kennedy advisor Col. L. Fletcher Prouty). Nobody can know for certain if Vice-President Lyndon Johnson was in on the plot, but in the final analysis it doesn't matter. He didn't need to be. As Jim Garrison has pointed out, at that time Lyndon Johnson was known as "The Senator from the Pentagon." He was in the pockets of the military from day one. If he was told to do something, he did it.
No matter how many ways you parse the issue, the escalation of the Vietnam War was Johnson's responsibility. And as a result, a relatively small group of Texas oil men got rich and millions of American soldiers were stripped into confetti-meat in Southeast Asia. George Bush Sr. was most likely a member of this Texas cabal; other possible suspects include H. L. Hunt, Clint Murchison, Herman Brown of the law firm Brown & Root, George DeMohrenschildt, James Baker, Vito Genovese, John J. McCloy, Clyde Tolson, and J. Edgar Hoover. All of these gentlemen were either rich Texan industrialists or major stock holders in companies owned by rich Texan industrialists; all of them stood to gain financially by a dead Kennedy and a protracted war in Southeast Asia.
It's worth pointing out that Bush Sr.'s father, Prescott (a member of the Yale secret society Skull & Bones - just like Dubya and Kerry), was convicted in 1942 under the Trading With the Enemy Act for aiding the Nazis financially in time of war. I refer you to the 1994 book The Secret War Against the Jews by John Loftus and Mark Aarons for more details on this matter. In fact, this particular book is one of the most comprehensive and informative histories of the decades-old war for oil in the Middle East, focusing heavily on the criminal dealings of the Bush Family.
A load of evidence suggests that the same gang responsible for the murder of JFK were also responsible for the assassinations of Bobby Kennedy (see The Assassination of Robert Kennedy by William Turner and Jonn Christian), Martin Luther King (see Orders To Kill by William Pepper), and the attempted assassinations of both George Wallace and Ronald Reagan. This shouldn't be surprising. These creeps are not bound by party lines. They are not bound by national borders. They're out to drain as much power and money from the sheeple as inhumanly possible, pure and simple. They don't even think of this as "betraying their country." Countries don't exist to them, and "citizens" are mere fleshy receptacles standing in the way of the greater goal: owning the air and the hemisphere and the stars themselves.
If they have to axe one of their own in the night to attain their goals, as with the political assassination of Richard Nixon (see Silent Coup by Lee Colodny and Robert Gettlin), they will do so with little hesitation. Eventually these fairweather warriors pulled out of Vietnam, not because "hippies" politely requested they do so, but because they had made as much money out of the situation as they possibly could and decided it was time to go poolside for awhile. (My Lai Mai-Tai, anyone?)
These same thugs were responsible for unnecessary military adventures in Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Columbia, Nicaragua, and Panama. Now they're in Iraq sinking their fangs through a waist-high carpet of dead bodies to suck the oil directly out of the earth like giant vampires. How much blood is on the hands of these monsters? Check out Michael Ruppert's new book Crossing the Rubicon: The Decline of the American Empire at the End of the Age of Oil for the answers to that cheery subject. Ruppert used to work with the CIA when he was an LAPD narcotics detective, so he knows what he's talking about. You can get this extremely well-documented tome from www.copvcia.com. Makes a great Christmas present for your loved ones. "I bought this for you, dear. Here's a razor blade to go with it."
Liberals have the tendency to think that these war hound scum are Christians. George W. Bush is as much a Christian as the Marquis de Sade was a day spa masseuse. True Christians are just as angry about their demonic shenanigans as Liberals are. It's time Liberals and Christians (and Muslims and Jews and Buddhists and Labor Unions and socialists and anarchists and even those wacky Libertarians) ban together to put a stake through the heart of the real enemy. Alex Jones has produced a video called Dark Secrets Inside Bohemian Grove that presents a small glimpse of what the enemy's peculiar predilections truly are, and they sure ain't "Christian."Dubya may claim he's a Christian, - hell, the vacuous fucker may even believe it - but then again Hitler enthusiastically promoted what he called "positive Christianity." Meanwhile, after hours he was practicing Black Magic in the Castle of Wewelsburg with Himmler and those other delusional occultists (see the well-documented book Unholy Alliance: History of the Nazi Involvement With the Occult by Peter Levenda - which includes
an illuminating introduction by Norman Mailer, a fascinating read).
The only weapon capable of destroying these fiends is sunlight. Despite the fact that they can't see themselves in mirrors, they're obsessed with appearances - obsessed with the mercurial whims of public opinion. It's the only thing they fear. It's why they spend so much money trying to alter it. They know Dr. Moreau was murdered by his own genetically-engineered slaves - hell, they should; the story was written by one of their own.
The cryptocrats often need to invite people into the fold simply for the purpose of sacrificing them, to assuage the public's need for blood, just like the end of that twisted Christopher Lee film The Wicker Man (recommended viewing). This is what happened to Nixon. Despite his aspirations, Nixon was an outsider. He was not a Blueblood, not like Bush, not like Kerry (both of whom are related to one another, 16th cousins three times removed, in a genealogical line that traces all the way back to Vlad the Impaler, the historical inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula - and if you don't believe me, check out this AP news story at: www.infowars.com/print/Secret_societies/vladtree.htm.
Nixon was a poor kid from Yorba Linda who clawed his way to the top, like that psychotic politician in Stephen King's The Dead Zone. He served his purpose for awhile, was allowed to hang around the grounds and puke on the exotic landscaping, then he was summarily ejected from the premises like an uncouth party crasher. You probably don't realize this, but George Bush Sr. was the man who unofficially "fired" Nixon's ass when he got "too bad for business," as it were. See Chapter 16 of The Secret War Against the Jews for a more involved account of these events. (Ironically, George Bush Sr. would become almost as bad for business by the time 1992 rolled around. Ah, the wheel turns, my friend, the wheel turns.)
In his article "The Kennedy Assassination: The Nixon-Bush Connection," originally published in Paul Krassner's The Realist, available for viewing at http://truedemocracy.net/td2_3/56_nixon-bush.html, Paul Kangas writes:
"According to a biography of Richard Nixon, his close personal and political ties with the Bush family go back to 1941 when Nixon claims he read an ad in an L A. newspaper, placed by a wealthy group of businessmen, led by Prescott Bush, the father of George Bush. They wanted a young, malleable candidate to run for Congress. Nixon applied for the position and won the job. Nixon became a mouthpiece for the Bush group. In fact, Prescott Bush is credited with creating the winning ticket of Eisenhower-Nixon in 1952."
Unfortunately for Nixon, Kennedy came along and whooped his butt in the 1960 Presidential election (admittedly with the help of some dead people voting in Chicago.) Now, how many of you are aware of the fact that Jack Ruby, the very same man who shot and murdered Lee Harvey Oswald, worked as a spy for Nixon in 1947? A FOIA document released by the FBI proves this fact. (See p. 269 of Jim Marrs' book Crossfire.) Like Oswald, Ruby himself later ended up dead under rather mysterious circumstances, but not before writing a lengthy letter to a fellow prisoner in which he stated:
"I know that my time is running out... they plan on doing away with [me]... As soon as you get out you must read Texan looks at Lyndon [A Texan Looks at Lyndon: A Study in Illegitimate Power by J. Evetts Haley] and it might open your eyes to a lot of things. This man [Johnson] is a Nazi in the worst order. For over a year now they have been doing away with my people..."
Later, he told his psychiatrist that the assassination was "an act of overthrowing the government" and that he knew "who had President Kennedy killed... I am doomed. I do not want to die. But I am not insane. I was framed to kill Oswald." (For these quotes, see the aforementioned Crossfire pp. 430-31.) Ruby died in '67, at the age of fifty-six, less than two years before Nixon finally took the Presidency.
After the public debacle of Watergate destroyed Nixon, the cryptocrats needed someone warm and cuddly like Jimmy Carter to change the tide, to give everybody a false sense of security before they had the real whammy laid on them in the form of Ronald Reagan. Ah, I find myself growing more and more nostalgic for the '80s every day. When you have a president like Reagan, who needs terrorists? Reagan revealed the true sympathies of his masters on May 5, 1985, when he kneeled down in front of those Nazi graves in Bitburg, Germany, clutching a wreath in his arthritic hands, and muttered prayers in honor of a cemetery packed with the corpses of Waffen S.S. death squad soldiers, later explaining away his actions by saying the Nazis were "victims just as surely as the victims in the concentration camps." I choose to interpret this act as Reagan's symbolic surrender of the United States to the Sixth Reich.
People say, "Oh, how can anyone keep such a huge conspiracy secret all these years?!" Well, the simple answer to that question is: They didn't keep it a secret. That's how I'm able to tell you about it. Most of these conclusions can be drawn from reading the newspaper and accessing available government documents. To tell you the truth, it's not necessary to call it a "conspiracy." You could just as easily call it, "Business As Usual."
Is there hope for change? Of course there's hope. As Marshall McLuhan once said, "There is absolutely no inevitability as long as there is a willingness to contemplate what is happening." Or as Buckminster Fuller said, "Human beings always do the intelligent thing, after they've exhausted all the stupid alternatives." Unfortunately, stupidity isn't as scarce as oil.
Thank you for your time, my friends, and God bless the United States of America.
But then, doesn't He always?
Yours sincerely,
